Overview

From a single glowing hat to a connected hardware platform

The Challenge

Physical remotes had hit their ceiling

Neon Cowboys' early LED garments relied on handheld IR/RF remotes — great for a single hat, but limiting once the product line grew to jackets, dresses, harnesses and purses. There was no way to save a favorite look, sync colors across multiple pieces at once, check battery status remotely, or push a firmware fix to a garment already in a customer's closet.

Our Solution

A BLE app that talks straight to the hardware

We built a Bluetooth Low Energy companion app that pairs directly with the embedded controller sewn into each garment — giving wearers a full lighting studio in their pocket: custom colors, pattern presets, brightness control, and multi-garment sync. Behind the scenes, a Super Admin console gives the Neon Cowboys team fleet-wide visibility, and a Vendor Admin panel lets production and retail partners manage their own inventory and orders.
